Meet Jai Preet Nanra

Lawyer & Principal

Jai Preet Nanra is the founder of Nanra Law. She graduated from York University with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Law & Society before obtaining her LL.B from Brunel University London. After completing her Certificate of Qualification from the National Committee on Accreditation of the Federation of Law Societies of Canada, Jai Preet was called to the Ontario Bar in 2018.

Jai Preet completed her articling at the Kingston Community Legal Clinic, where she also worked as a Licensed Paralegal. In this role, she represented low-income individuals and families, advocating on their behalf before the Landlord and Tenant Board, Social Benefits Tribunal, and the Human Rights Tribunal. This early experience shaped her commitment to accessible justice and strong client advocacy.

Prior to founding Nanra Law, Jai Preet practiced at a prominent personal injury litigation firm in Toronto. She has extensive experience representing injured clients and advocating for compensation, including recovery for medical expenses, lost income, pain and suffering, and access to treatment. Over the course of her career, she has successfully recovered millions of dollars in compensation for her clients.

At Nanra Law, Jai Preet brings a client-focused and results-driven approach to her practice. She is known for her diligence, compassion, and unwavering commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for her clients. Her practice focuses on Real Estate Law, Family Law, Wills and Powers of Attorney, Landlord and Tenant Law, and Notary Services.

Outside of her legal practice, Jai Preet enjoys travelling, playing in her softball league and supporting SickKids charities. She is also an avid sports fan, proudly supporting her Toronto baseball and basketball teams—proving that lawyers can, in fact, have fun.

The NANRA Commitment

Everything we do at Nanra Law is guided by five core principles. They are not just words — they shape how we work, how we communicate, and how we show up for every client.

N

Noble

We believe the law is a profession grounded in integrity, respect, and responsibility. We help clients navigate their legal matters with clarity and structure — guiding each step in plain language so you understand your rights, your options, and your path forward. Our advice is shaped not only by the law, but by fairness and our ethical duty to every client we serve.

A

Advocacy

Strong advocacy is at the core of effective legal representation. Whether we are protecting your interests in a family law matter, ensuring a proper real estate closing, or carefully documenting your wishes in a will, we act with purpose and preparation. Our approach is thoughtful, strategic, and focused entirely on you.

N

Negotiation

Many legal matters are resolved through skilled negotiation rather than litigation. We focus on practical, cost-effective solutions wherever possible. Through careful preparation and measured negotiation, we work to secure fair outcomes while minimising unnecessary delay, expense, and conflict.

R

Reliability

Our team is committed to responsive service, dependable support, and consistent communication at every stage. We prioritise timely replies, punctuality, and strong follow-through — ensuring you are always informed about requirements, timelines, and next steps. We also offer both virtual and in-person meetings, with flexible availability across the GTA.

A

Accountability

Professional responsibility and transparency are essential to trust. We are committed to clear billing practices, honest legal assessments, and realistic expectations. You will receive accurate information and honest advice — empowering you to make informed decisions about your property, your family, and your future.
